Welcome To EdPractices

EdPractices is a collaborative group of professional development providers representing general, special and bilingual/ESL education. We have three areas of focus: (1) Working with beginning teachers (Years 1-5) to support and retain them in the profession; (2) Enhancing teacher practices in academic instruction, behavior management and creating equitable learning climates; and (3) providing teacher workshops/conferences on topical issues.

Retaining & Supporting Teachers

  • Structured coaching for individual teachers to improve instruction
  • “Community of learners” for professional growth (local & regional)
  • Self-care roadmaps & focus on SEL needs of new teachers

Advancing Instructional Quality

  • Using evidence-based strategies in math & literacy
  • Teaching English learners & students with IEPs in inclusive settings
  • Creating an equitable, respectful classroom climate
